treaty intentions

the british agenda was to establish civillaw in nz to create law for the settlers and maori and to establish sovereignity in nz 


i believe that the maori were deliberatly misled by the british. The wording was deliberatly changed in the maori tiriti. the inportant words about rulership were interpreted into words that were inaccurate so that the maori wouldet realize that they were giving up there right to selfrule
